C-SPAN | Washington Journal - Jan 4, 2013 Marilyn Geewax talked about the just-released unemployment and jobs numbers for December 2012, and she responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.

The unemployment rate remained at 7.8 percent, and 155,000 new jobs for created.

Ms. Geewax among her remarks said 350,000 new jobs were needed every month to lower the unemployment rate to around six percent over the next two to three years.

Other topics included the types of jobs being created and the economic outlook for 2013.
